Position Summary:

The Contracts Administrator plays an important role in supporting Tetra Tech's contracts oversight, legal operations, and overall risk management efforts through the review, analysis, and negotiation of complex commercial and federal government contracts. This position evaluates contractual terms and conditions, identifies potential legal and business risks, and recommends modifications consistent with company policies and established risk tolerance.

Reporting directly to Senior Counsel, the Contracts Administrator also provides paralegal support for a variety of legal matters, including drafting legal correspondence, assisting with written discovery requests, and maintaining contract documentation and tracking systems under the supervision of in-house counsel.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable independently managing recurring contract review and administrative responsibilities. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, accuracy, and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality work in a structured, deadline-driven environment.

Essential Job Functions:

The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:

  • Review and analyze complex commercial and federal government contracts to identify contractual obligations, potential risks, and terms requiring clarification or modification.
  • Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other external parties to support business objectives while maintaining alignment with company policies and established risk management standards.
  • Evaluate contract provisions, including indemnification, limitation of liability, insurance, confidentiality, and other relevant terms, and recommend appropriate modifications to mitigate potential legal and financial exposure.
  • Review and analyze Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), Multiple Service Award Agreements, and other contractual documents, proposing revisions consistent with company standards and risk tolerance.
  • Provide paralegal assistance under the supervision of in-house counsel, including supporting responses to subpoenas, document production requests, interrogatories, and other written discovery matters.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and preparing legal correspondence and documentation, including demand letters, informed consent memoranda, and other legal materials as directed by Senior Counsel.
  • Maintain accurate contract management spreadsheets, tracking systems, and supporting documentation to monitor contract status, negotiations, outstanding items, and related legal matters.
  • Collaborate with Senior Counsel and appropriate internal stakeholders to address contractual questions, resolve outstanding issues, and facilitate timely contract review and execution.
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and confidential legal and contractual records in accordance with company policies and applicable requirements.
  • Perform recurring contract analysis, document review, administrative tracking, and other paralegal responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with GSA Schedules, GWACs (e.g., GSA OASIS+, GSA Polaris), and IDIQ task order management
  • Familiarity with cost and pricing principles, including support to proposal pricing reviews and basis-of-estimate development
  • Proficiency with federal contract management systems and tools such as SAM.gov, eSRS, FPDS
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate contractual risk into clear guidance for non-contracts stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Word, PDF software, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in utilizing AI
  • Familiarity with federal acquisition regulations, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
  • 1 year of prior experience in consulting and/or DoD/contracting

Preferred Qualifications:
