Summary: As a Non-Licensed Electrician specializing in PLC Panel Installation, you will play a crucial role in installing and upgrading PLC control panels for industrial automation systems. Your responsibilities will include wiring PLC panels, troubleshoot electrical connections, and ensure accurate installation and integration of control systems to maintain operational efficiency. Projects will require travel to client sites. - all within carefully planned maintenance windows that minimize downtime. Flights, mileage, lodging, and daily per-diem are covered, and every assignment is scheduled in advance so you can focus on high-impact technical work, not last-minute call-outs. Responsibilities: - Install, wire, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) panels and related equipment.
- Pull, land, and label discrete and analog I/O wiring (24 VDC, 120 VAC, 4-20 mA, Ethernet) in compact enclosures while adhering to industrial wiring practices and UL 508A/NEC requirements.
- Terminate, program-assist, and test VFDs up to 50 HP; confirm proper motor rotation, parameter sets, and interlock signals.
- Coordinate with plant maintenance or controls engineers to isolate equipment, complete work, and restore operation inside designated shutdown windows (typically 1-2 hours).
- Maintain tools, inventory, and supplies essential for panel installations and troubleshooting tasks.
- Travel to manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and process facilities per a rolling project calendar.
- Follow company safety standards and ensure compliance with NFPA 70E arc-flash procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete other duties as assigned.
