Job Title: Control System Engineer III

Location: Maryland

Duration: 6 Months

Responsibilities:

• Analyze system requirements, specifications, and performance objectives.

• Design control systems and develop control algorithms based on project requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and integration strategies.

• Develop and implement control strategies using appropriate programming languages and tools.

• Design and configure control hardware, including sensors, actuators, and PLCs.

• Create and update control system schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

• Integrate control systems with hardware and software components.

• Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging to ensure functionality and reliability.

• Develop and execute test plans in collaboration with quality assurance teams.

• Analyze and optimize system performance, efficiency, stability, and accuracy.

• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and recommend improvements.

• Prepare system specifications, design documents, user manuals, and project reports.

• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and best practices.

• Work closely with electrical engineers, software developers, technicians, and project managers.

• Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams.

• Stay current with advancements in control systems and industrial automation technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in control systems engineering.

• Strong understanding of control system principles, algorithms, and methodologies.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, MATLAB, or Python.

• Hands-on experience with industrial control systems, including PLCs, DCS, and SCADA.

• Familiarity with control system modeling and simulation tools.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
