Control Systems Specialist

Job Title: Industrial Controls & Instrumentation Specialist

Location: Everett, WA | Onsite

Pay Rate: $37-$74/hr

Employment Type: Contract | Full-Time

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, build, wire, and troubleshoot electrical control panels and instrumentation systems for R&D and industrial test facilities.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot LabVIEW-based control and data acquisition systems; integrate sensors, VFDs, control valves, and field devices.
• Support startup, commissioning, and shakedown of electrical and instrumentation systems in advanced research environments.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and instrumentation drawings for installation, testing, and operation.
• Develop and maintain system documentation including panel layouts, I/O lists, calibration records, and test procedures.

Essential Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building, commissioning, or maintaining industrial control systems, instrumentation, or laboratory test equipment; Associate degree, technical certification, trade school, or military technical training in electrical controls, automation, instrumentation, or mechatronics required.
• Proven experience programming and troubleshooting National Instruments LabVIEW applications and data acquisition systems.
• Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams; experience integrating instrumentation, sensors, VFDs, heaters, and control valves into control systems.
