AUTOMOTIVE DEALERSHIP CONTROLLER

We are partnering with an established automotive dealership seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations and oversee the dealership's financial performance.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who understands the fast-paced automotive dealership environment, knows how to keep deals moving, and recognizes that cash flow and timely deal funding are critical to the success of the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee daily accounting operations and dealership financial reporting.

• Manage and monitor deal funding, ensuring timely processing, follow-up, and resolution of outstanding contracts.

• Oversee cash flow management, including cash forecasting, monitoring, and maintaining strong financial controls.

• Monitor contracts in transit (CIT), receivables, and outstanding funding.

• Manage month-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial statements.

• Oversee floorplan accounting, inventory reconciliations, and related financial activity.

• Partner with dealership leadership to improve processes, profitability, and operational efficiency.

• Lead and support accounting staff while ensuring accuracy and accountability.

What We're Looking For

• Automotive dealership accounting experience REQUIRED.

• Previous Controller or senior-level dealership accounting management experience strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of deal funding, contracts in transit, and cash flow management is essential.

• Solid understanding of dealership financial statements, floorplan accounting, and reconciliations.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize deadlines, and resolve funding issues.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Accounting degree is a plus, but not required. Relevant dealership experience and demonstrated ability to manage financial operations are what matter most!
