Controller

Kforce's client is seeking a proactive Controller to partner with our BU General Manager. In this highly visible role, you will drive strategic financial direction and oversee daily accounting, ensuring the accuracy and timely delivery of monthly statements, budgets, and variance analyses. This role is hybrid (3 days onsite) in Southern California (Greater LA) or Hartford County, CT.

Key Responsibilities:

• Governance & Compliance: Manage risk, credit policies, and internal controls (SOX). Serve as the main liaison for auditors and regulatory bodies. Ensure GAAP compliance
• Reporting & Close: Direct internal/external reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Lead monthly (7-day target), quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Systems & Process Optimization: Manage the ERP and consolidation tools to ensure ledger integrity. Drive automation and continuous process improvements
• Treasury & Cash Flow: Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and disbursement approvals (ACH, wires, checks)
• Operations: Supervise daily accounting (GL, AP, AR, payroll, labor allocations) and coordinate annual/benefit plan audits
• Business Intelligence: Deliver margin analyses, financial modeling, and variance insights to guide executive decisions
• Leadership: Mentor and develop the finance staff, aligning team performance with organizational goals
