Controller

High-growth SaaS company is searching for a strategic Controller. This role will be the right-hand to the CFO and will be responsible for building out processes & scaling the accounting function to support the companies growth.

Overseeing a small team (Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, Staff Accountant), the Controller will oversee GL, month end close, financial reporting, and revenue recognition. Ideal candidate has strong system skills, experience leading a software implementation, and excellent process improvement experience.

This role reports to a CFO who is interested in mentoring and developing this Controller, giving the opportunity to get involved in fundraising, working with investors, and potential to grow to a VP of Finance level, overseeing FP&A. The company is in a unique stage, incredibly well-funded, in growth-mode, and well positioned for an IPO in ~3 years time.

Compensation will include base + equity.

Qualifications:

• BS, Accounting
• CPA
• prior public accounting experience
• hands-on controllership experience in a SaaS environment, ideally
• strong revenue recognition experience (ASC 606)
• excellent leadership abilities
• comfortable with a hybrid work schedule (ideally 3 days in office, 2 days WFH
• eager to make an impact in a growing startup
• strategic mindset & strong leadership abilities
