Our client is a growing industrial manufacturing company seeking an experienced Controller to oversee its accounting function and partner closely with operations and executive leadership. Reporting directly to the CFO, this highly visible, hands-on role will focus on strengthening financial reporting, improving processes and controls, and driving operational and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, fixed assets, and month-end close.
- Lead financial reporting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Manage inventory accounting, cost accounting, reconciliations, and related controls.
- Partner with operations to analyze costs, margins, labor, and overall financial performance.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and working capital reporting.
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial systems.
- Coordinate audits, tax compliance, and banking requirements.
- Lead and develop the accounting team while providing strategic financial insights to leadership.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including prior leadership experience.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or other operationally complex environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory, cost accounting, GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proven ability to improve accounting processes, systems, and reporting.
- Hands-on leadership style with strong operational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Compensation & Location
- Base Salary: $140K–$180K
- Bonus: 20% target

- Schedule: 4 days per week in-office
