Controller - Construction (Relocation to Columbia, MO)

Relocation required: this position is on-site in Columbia, Missouri. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

A growing construction organization headquartered in Columbia, Missouri is seeking a seasoned Controller to own its accounting and finance function. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows construction accounting thoroughly and is ready to relocate to Columbia to make an impact.

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000+ base, plus bonus opportunity up to 30%.

What You'll Do:

• Create and maintain WIP (work-in-progress) reports, including over/under billing analysis
• Lead percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and progress billing
• Manage the monthly close and financial reporting for the organization and all of its subsidiaries
• Oversee intercompany accounting and consolidations across multiple entities
• Direct cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and investment decisions
• Prepare board-level financial reviews and presentations for ownership and leadership

Requirements:

• Must be willing to relocate to Columbia, MO
• Construction industry experience as a Controller or in senior accounting leadership
• Strong command of percentage-of-completion billing and WIP reporting
• Background in consolidations and multi-entity/subsidiary accounting
• Proven experience handling cash flow and investment management
• Ability to prepare clear, board-ready financial reviews
• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance and CPA preferred
