About the Role:
ESI Waterproofing & Masonry Restoration is looking for a sharp and driven Controller to join our team in Rockland, MA. This is a key leadership role where you'll take ownership of the company's financial operations and help drive smart business decisions. Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage cash flow, budgeting, and financial forecasting
Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and applicable tax regulations
Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and financial institutions
Monitor job costing and project financials in coordination with operations leadership
Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
5+ years of accounting or financial management experience, ideally in construction or contracting
Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP schedules, and project-based accounting
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
Experience with payroll processing and multi-state tax compliance is a plus
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
