High-Impact Leadership OpportunityOur client is a well-established manufacturing company based in Manhattan, NYC that is experiencing continued growth and investing in its finance and accounting leadership team. They are seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, cost accounting, and process improvement initiatives while partnering closely with executive leadership to support the company's strategic objectives.Job DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Controller are:Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities for the organization.Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.Prepare and review monthly financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.Own inventory and cost accounting functions within a manufacturing environment.Develop and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures.Partner with operations leadership to analyze manufacturing costs and improve profitability.Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial performance reporting.Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.Ensure compliance with all tax, regulatory, and reporting requirements.Drive process improvements and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies.Oversee and mentor the accounting team, fostering a high-performance culture.Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic business decisions and company growth.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
