Corporate Controller
Location: Near Mayfield, NY
Salary Range: $100,000 - $120,000

Position Overview
Our growing client is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead its accounting operations and support executive financial leadership. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and overseeing day-to-day accounting activities.
The Corporate Controller will also provide leadership to the accounting team while helping strengthen financial processes, reporting, and internal controls across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including general ledger reporting and balance sheet management
- Review financial data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to established accounting standards
- Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with organizational budgeting processes
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal control systems
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to requests
Team Leadership & Staff Development
- Supervise and manage daily workflow of accounting staff
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members
- Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and development of new accounting personnel
Operational & Payroll Oversight
- Oversee payroll processes and ensure accurate processing
- Monitor financial systems and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required
- Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with ERP systems such as Sage 100 or NetSuite is a plus
- Strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
