A growing manufacturing company in the northwest Twin Cities is seeking a hands-on Controller to support financial operations, reporting, cash management, and strategic decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with executive leadership and make an immediate impact within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

This role is ideal for a senior accounting professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats, partnering with operations, and translating financial data into meaningful business insights.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Lead month-end close and financial statement preparation
• 
  
• Manage cash flow forecasting, cash management, and banking relationships
• 
  
• Analyze financial and operational data to support business decisions
• 
  
• Monitor inventory valuation, manufacturing costs, and profitability reporting
• 
  
• Develop and enhance reporting processes using Excel and company ERP/accounting systems
• 
  
• Partner with leadership to provide actionable financial insights
• 
  
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial planning initiatives
• 
  
• Supervise one accounting team member responsible for AP, AR, and HR administration
• 
  
• Assist with process improvements and strengthen financial controls
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 
  
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 
  
• Strong experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation
• 
  
• Experience in manufacturing, cost accounting, inventory accounting, or a related environment strongly preferred
• 
  
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and manipulation of exported data
• 
  
• Ability to work independently and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
• 
  
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, ERP systems, or JobBOSS is a plus
• 
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
•

Compensation: $95,000-$120,000 annually, depending on experience
