Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
• 
  
• Prepare and analyze financial statements
• 
  
• Manage quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting
• 
  
• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, including product costing, yields, and cost-per-pound calculations
• 
  
• Develop and maintain average costing models for 2027
• 
  
• Manage product-level P&Ls and profitability analysis
• 
  
• Conduct labor cost studies, material costing, and financial analysis
• 
  
• Monitor procurement costs and identify cost variances
• 
  
• Supervise one Staff Accountant responsible for AP, AR, and customer service functions
• 
  
• Partner directly with the President on financial reporting and business planning
• 
  

Requirements

• 
  
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory costing, and product profitability
• 
  
• Experience managing month-end close and preparing financial statements
• 
  
• Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis experience
• 
  
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP
• 
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal training
• 
  
• Previous Controller, Accounting Manager, or CFO experience
• 
  
• QuickBooks experience preferred but not required
•
