Title: Controls Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, and implement control systems for custom automated machinery. This person will be involved throughout the entire project lifecycle, from electrical design and PLC programming to machine debugging, commissioning, installation, and customer training.
Job Duties:
- Design electrical control systems for custom automated machinery.
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs, primarily Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley ControlLogix).
- Develop electrical schematics, hardware layouts, and bills of materials.
- Configure and program servo drives and motion control systems.
- Perform machine debugging, startup, and commissioning.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and assembly technicians.
- Support on-site installations and customer training.
- Ensure machine safety and compliance with applicable industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience OR technical degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Strong PLC programming experience, particularly Allen-Bradley/Rockwell ControlLogix.
- Knowledge of Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, and Structured Text.
- Experience with electrical controls design and schematics.
- Experience with servo and motion control systems.
- Understanding of industrial networking, including Ethernet/IP and TCP/IP.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
