Description:
Were looking for two experienced Controls Engineers to join our Equipment Engineering team. This role focuses on the design, programming, and debugging of control systems for both new and existing automated equipment.
Contract Details:
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8 hours/day
Duration: Through end of the year, with potential for direct hire (Estimated end date: 12/28/2025)
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and document control system designs for automation equipment
Program automation systems using a variety of PLCs, HMIs, and robot software
Troubleshoot and debug systems, ensuring successful qualification and performance in production
Implement equipment upgrades and modifications to enhance performance, output, quality, or reduce costs
Collaborate with production and process engineering teams to support the rollout of new equipment
Provide advanced troubleshooting for equipment issues beyond the scope of the maintenance team
Partner with suppliers to replicate or improve equipment for capacity expansion
Continuously improve processes and systems through innovation and collaboration with internal and external experts
Perform other related tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
3 - 10 years of experience in equipment engineering and automation design.
Proficient in PLC programming and control system design
Skilled in HMI and robot programming (preferred)
Ability to write clean, well-documented, and structured code
Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD
Quick learner with a willingness to adopt new PLC platforms
Experience with vision systems such as Epson, Cognex, or Keyence (a plus)
