Field Lighting Controls Commissioning Technician

What You'll Do:

Commission lighting control systems on-site, running functional tests and verifying device communication to design intent

Integrate lighting controls with building automation systems (BAS) and see each project through final completion

Troubleshoot hardware, wiring, network, and software issues down to root cause

Build and track the open-issues list for each site, driving every item to resolution with installers and contractors

Provide on-site and remote customer support, plus clear progress reports, test results, and resolution records

Must-Have Qualifications:

3+ years of hands-on field experience installing, testing, commissioning, or servicing electronic, low-voltage, network, or communications systems (military, field service, telecom, controls, AV, security, or building systems experience all count)

Proven troubleshooting skills using multimeters, network analyzers, and laptop-based configuration software

Working knowledge of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, IP addressing, DHCP, switches, and structured cabling

Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints

Willingness to travel approximately 90%, including overnight work; valid driver's license
