A rapidly expanding building automation and systems integration firm is seeking a skilled Controls Project Engineer for its San Diego office. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy coordinating engineering activities, reviewing submittals, and helping drive controls projects from design through closeout.

Position Details:

• Title: Controls Project Engineer
• Location: San Diego, CA
• Compensation: $75,000–$100,000 (DOE) + Bonus
• Status: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Managers in planning, tracking, and executing BAS/controls projects
• Oversee schedules, budgets, documentation, and project deliverables
• Review, interpret, and validate DDC shop drawings and technical submittals
• Prepare and manage RFIs, change orders, and project correspondence
• Coordinate with vendors and support material procurement efforts

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in BAS, HVAC controls, or mechanical/electrical project engineering
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation and specification review skills
• Excellent communicator capable of cross-functional coordination
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and construction workflows
