An established building automation and HVAC controls provider is seeking a dedicated Controls Start-Up Technician to support projects throughout the greater Nashville metro area. This position is ideal for a BAS professional with commissioning or installation experience who enjoys hands-on fieldwork and diagnosing complex system issues. Light regional travel into Alabama or Kentucky may occur during the workweek. Candidates without prior ALC experience will receive full product training.
Position Details:
Title: Controls Start-Up Technician
Location: Nashville, TN (Open to Surrounding Areas)
Background as a Controls Technician or related BAS/HVAC role
Strong knowledge of BAS installation, commissioning steps, and point-to-point checkout
Ability to load, adjust, and update BAS databases and controller applications
Hands-on experience supporting startup, troubleshooting, and field diagnostics
Familiar with server setup, front-end configuration, and controls networking basics
Clear communicator comfortable working with contractors, clients, and end users
Team contributor with strong jobsite coordination and follow-through
Key Responsibilities:
Commission, troubleshoot, and support a wide range of building automation systems
Load software, configure controllers, and make database/programming adjustments
Perform field verification, ensuring proper installation and system operation
Assist with front-end setup, server preparation, and software integrations
Work closely with installation teams, subcontractors, and site personnel
Ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and within project schedules
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $35–$45/hr. (Based on Experience)
