    Controls Systems Design Engineer – Anchorage, AK – $60,000–$85,000 + ESOP + 401(k)

    About the Opportunity:

    This company is seeking a talented Controls Systems Design Engineer to join their Anchorage team. This is a great opportunity to work with a close-knit organization specializing in advanced building automation and energy management solutions for government and municipal clients throughout Alaska.     Position Details:

    • Title: Controls Systems Design Engineer
    • Location: Anchorage, AK
    • Status: Full-Time | 85% Office / 15% Field

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop Building Automation System (BAS) architecture using AutoCAD or MS Visio
    • Write detailed Sequences of Operation for new and retrofit BAS projects
    • Create project design documentation and prepare complete submittal packages
    • Conduct site visits and coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
    • Build accurate Bills of Materials and support equipment procurement
    • Work closely with project managers, field technicians, and programmers to ensure smooth execution
    • Assist with pricing, quantity takeoffs, and vendor communications
    • Provide limited troubleshooting or programming support as required

    Ideal Candidate:

    • 3+ years of experience as a Controls Design Engineer or similar role
    • Working knowledge of Tridium Niagara systems preferred
    • Strong familiarity with BAS hardware, software, and documentation standards
    • Team-focused with the ability to manage multiple ongoing design projects
    • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Salary: $60,000–$85,000 (Equivalent to $30–$41/hr)
    • Overtime: Available
    • 401(k): Up to 3% company match + 50% match on the following 2%
