Controls Technician

Our client is looking for an experienced Controls Technician to support a group of mission-critical facilities in the Triangle area. You will be the go-to person for keeping building automation systems running smoothly across three nearby sites, working with a technical helper and rotating through a different site each day. This is a direct hire opportunity for someone with deep controls experience who enjoys using data to solve problems.

Controls Technician Responsibilities:
- Monitor building automation systems across critical facilities to keep environments stable and reliable

- Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC controls issues, from alarms to sequence of operations

- Perform preventative maintenance on controls equipment and related systems

- Run day-to-day site operations and guide a technician who assists on site

- Review system data to spot trends, support decisions, and recommend improvements

- Rotate between three sites within a 30-mile radius, typically visiting one site per day

- Take part in an every-other-week on-call rotation, with weekend coverage as needed




Controls Technician Requirements:

- 5+ years of controls experience, with 8 to 10 years preferred

- Hands-on experience with Metasys and/or working knowledge of Tridium Niagara

- Strong HVAC controls background

- Data-driven approach to troubleshooting and reporting

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office

- Coachable, collaborative, and comfortable working as part of a team

- Local to the Triangle area and able to travel between sites
