Atlantic Track & Turnout Co. has spent 60+ years building specialty trackwork for railroads, transit systems, and crane runways. We’re growing our Richmond, Illinois operation and hiring a Conventional Machining Operator to run manual mills for production of precision components.
Set up and operate manual milling machines; adjust offsets to maintain part conformance.
Assemble and index milling cutters and inserts appropriate to the job.
Use an overhead crane to safely load and unload parts.
Measure in-process and final features; document results per quality requirements.
Maintain an orderly, safe workstation and a team-first mindset.
Partner with support personnel on programming, tooling, and machine troubleshooting.
Must-haves
High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of machining experience.
Knowledge of feeds, speeds, and chip load; solid tooling fundamentals.
Ability to read and understand production drawings.
On-site availability in Richmond, IL, with willingness to work overtime as needed.
Continuous improvement mindset and dependable work habits.
Nice-to-haves
Familiarity with FANUC CNC controls.
Prior industrial milling experience.
