Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Conveyor Belt Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with conveyor belt installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in industrial environments. Strong knowledge of belt vulcanizing, hydraulic systems, and mechanical maintenance is required.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor belt systems.
- Perform hot and cold belt vulcanizing, splicing, and belt lagging.
- Inspect conveyor systems for wear, damage, and safety concerns.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic components and systems.
- Replace rollers, pulleys, bearings, motors, and other conveyor components.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Complete maintenance reports and work orders accurately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a conveyor belt mechanic or industrial maintenance technician.
- Strong knowledge of conveyor belt vulcanizing and splicing techniques.
- Experience working with hydraulic systems and troubleshooting hydraulic equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in industrial, mining, aggregate, fracking and oil field environments.
- Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Background/Drug test.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards.
- Experience with pneumatic systems.
- MSHA or OSHA certifications are a plus.
