Position Rate: $20.97 per hour

Camp Verde Restaurant in Camp Verde, Texas, is a known for its rich history and charming location in the Texas Hill Country. We are currently seeking a full-time Cook to join our team. Candidates should be able to foster a positive work environment, take initiative and possess a willingness to learn.

Shift

• 7:30AM to 5:00PM

Responsibilities

• Perform food preparation tasks, such as making sandwiches, salads or carving meats

• Grill, sauté and fry foods, such as hamburgers, fried chicken or French fries which are prepared to order

• Cook and package batches of food which are kept warm until sold

• Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils

• Maintain sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards in work areas

• Clean and inspect equipment to ensure that it meets health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Formal or informal education or training that ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance is preferred

• Prior experience in a related food service position is preferred

• Food Handler Certification required

• Occasional 6-day work week due to seasonal or staffing requirements.

• Knowledge of methods, equipment and materials as they relate to the type of work being performed.

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.

• Skilled at managing one’s own time.

• Skilled in the monitoring of gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

• Ability to perform all physical requirements of the job with or without accommodation.

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, coworkers or supervisors.

• Ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects weighing up to 30 lb. occasionally.

• Ability to stand and walk continuously; sit occasionally; kneel, stoop, and climb stools/ladders/stairs intermittently to perform the essential functions.
