Job Description
The cook position reports to the manager or in his or her absence, the sous chef. Is responsible for the production of food items for both patient as well as retail. The position is also responsible for prepping items for the next day's patient and retail menu. This position is also called upon to support catering and other food outlets as necessary. The employee is also required to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and maintains equipment in clean, good working conditions.
Education And Credentials
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
One year full time or two years part time as a cook or cook's assistant in a food service institutional setting is required. Appropriate food preparation experience in a commercial (restaurant) food service setting may be accepted within the same time frame. Good basic mathematic skills and the ability to adjust recipes for volume.
