About the Role:
Rustika Cafe & Bakery Katy is looking for a passionate and skilled Cook to join our kitchen team in Houston, TX! Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station throughout each shift
• Assist with food prep including chopping, portioning, and ingredient staging
• Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs to kitchen management
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and safety procedures at all times
• Collaborate with front-of-house and kitchen staff to ensure timely order fulfillment
• Support bakery and cafe production as needed during peak service hours

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a cook, line cook, or prep cook in a cafe, restaurant, or bakery setting
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (Food Handler Certification a plus)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and consistency
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexible availability including weekends and early morning shifts
