This position is responsible for preparing nutritional and attractive meals for clients and staff at the Life Adjustment Program.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior that align with the values of the Hilltop's Life Adjustment Program.
- Complete basic meal specials, daily prep cooking duties, basic soups, sauces, and desserts from scratch and to the Food Service Manager's specifications.
- Prepare resident meals per individualized care plans.
- Follow all Mesa County and Colorado Department of Health regulations to proper food handling including proper hand washing, temperature logs, and sanitizing of food service equipment.
- Ensure food and supplies are at correct temperature and condition when received. Rotate and stock supplies according to health codes and Food Service Manager's specifications.
- Assist with catering duties as needed.
- Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and safely storing dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, bus tubs, etc. Deep clean, sweep, and mop as assigned.
- Inspecting and maintaining proper chemicals for the dishwasher.
More specifically, in this role we request:
Education & Experience: High school or equivalent preferred, plus one year of related experience. Minimum 18 years of age required.
- Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:
- Colorado Identification Card (required)
- Food Handler's Card (required)
- CPR/First Aid Certificate (preferred)
- De-Escalation Training (preferred)

Qualifications:
Education
Preferred: High School or better.
Experience
Required: High school or equivalent preferred, plus one year of related experience. Minimum 18 years of age required.
Licenses & Certifications
Required: Food Handler's Card, Colorado ID Card
Preferred: CPR/First Aid
