This position is responsible for preparing nutritional and attractive meals for clients and staff at the Life Adjustment Program.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior that align with the values of the Hilltop's Life Adjustment Program.
  • Complete basic meal specials, daily prep cooking duties, basic soups, sauces, and desserts from scratch and to the Food Service Manager's specifications.
  • Prepare resident meals per individualized care plans.
  • Follow all Mesa County and Colorado Department of Health regulations to proper food handling including proper hand washing, temperature logs, and sanitizing of food service equipment.
  • Ensure food and supplies are at correct temperature and condition when received. Rotate and stock supplies according to health codes and Food Service Manager's specifications.
  • Assist with catering duties as needed.
  • Assist with cleaning, sanitizing, and safely storing dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, bus tubs, etc. Deep clean, sweep, and mop as assigned.
  • Inspecting and maintaining proper chemicals for the dishwasher.

Education & Experience: High school or equivalent preferred, plus one year of related experience. Minimum 18 years of age required.

  • Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:
    • Colorado Identification Card (required)
    • Food Handler's Card (required)
    • CPR/First Aid Certificate (preferred)
    • De-Escalation Training (preferred)

Qualifications:

Education

Preferred: High School or better.

Experience

Required: High school or equivalent preferred, plus one year of related experience. Minimum 18 years of age required.

Licenses & Certifications

Required: Food Handler's Card, Colorado ID Card

Preferred: CPR/First Aid
