    Description:

    What to Expect in This Role:

    As a Cook at Saint Mary Home, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals to our residents. Your responsibilities will include preparing food in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines, as well as our established policies and procedures.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and cook a variety of meals in large quantities.

    • Follow dietary guidelines and procedures to accommodate residents' nutritional needs.

    • Prepare specialized textures, including purees, mechanical soft, and other modified diets as needed.

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and food service area.

    • Ensure proper care and use of kitchen supplies and equipment.

    What You Bring:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    • Experience in large-scale cooking preferred.

    • Knowledge of dietary procedures, food safety regulations, and modified texture diets.

    • Previous experience in long-term care or working with the geriatric population is a plus.

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow oral and written instructions.

    • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

    This position is per diem and hours are not guaranteed.
