Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Prep Cook to join our culinary team.

The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for cooking and food service to develop their culinary skills in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to menu specifications and recipes
• Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment
• Support the kitchen team during busy periods, including plating and serving food as needed
• Assist with inventory management and stock rotation of ingredients
• Help with catering events and special meal preparations when required
• Ensure proper handling and storage of food items to prevent contamination

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a dietary department, dietary aide, or restaurant setting is preferred
• Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and food industry practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Experience with catering, serving, or culinary tasks is a plus
• Kitchen experience or culinary education is desirable but not mandatory
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
