Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and dedicated cook to join our team at Preston Pointe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing nutritious meals for the senior population and demonstrates a commitment to high standards of food quality, safety, and kitchen cleanliness. This role involves planning and preparing meals according to established menus, following dietary guidelines, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The cook will also collaborate closely with the dining room staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service, contributing to a positive dining experience for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to all company policies and procedures
Maintain safety standards at all times
Collaborate as part of a team with excellent customer service skills
Prepares, cooks, and presents food to order following established guidelines and recipe specifications and implementing aesthetically pleasing plating techniques
Organizes and maintains work areas, coolers, and storage areas
Community product quality and any equipment issues
Requirements:
At least 18 years of age
2-3 years of professional cooking experience greatly preferred
Culinary school certification preferred but not required
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
Successful background check
