Position:

Cook (Full Time)


Salary:

$19 - $21 per hour based on experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and dedicated cook to join our team at Preston Pointe. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing nutritious meals for the senior population and demonstrates a commitment to high standards of food quality, safety, and kitchen cleanliness. This role involves planning and preparing meals according to established menus, following dietary guidelines, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The cook will also collaborate closely with the dining room staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service, contributing to a positive dining experience for our residents.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain safety standards at all times
  • Collaborate as part of a team with excellent customer service skills
  • Prepares, cooks, and presents food to order following established guidelines and recipe specifications and implementing aesthetically pleasing plating techniques
  • Organizes and maintains work areas, coolers, and storage areas
  • Community product quality and any equipment issues


Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • 2-3 years of professional cooking experience greatly preferred
  • Culinary school certification preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed
  • Successful background check
  • Pre-employment physical and drug test
