About the Role

Weatherly Inn is seeking an experienced PM Cook who can work Saturday- Wednesday (11:00 AM - 7:00 PM) to support our senior living community by preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality evening meals. This role plays a key part in resident satisfaction, food safety, and kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve evening meals following approved menus and recipes

  • Assist with preparation and service of the noon meal as needed

  • Assisting with dinner service

  • Ensure proper food presentation, portioning, and temperature control

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, coolers, and freezers

  • Label, store, and rotate food to minimize waste

  • Record refrigerator and freezer temperatures

  • Prepare soups, sauces, meats, vegetables, and baked goods

  • Supply PM snacks to the Wellness Center

  • Assist with food ordering and inventory as backup to the Director

  • Close kitchen safely at end of shift

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • 3+ years cooking experience (healthcare, senior living, or similar preferred)

  • Food Handler Permit (within 14 days of hire)

  • ServSafe certification required

  • Strong multitasking, leadership, and food safety skills

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 lbs; stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout shift

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
