Job Title: Coordinator, Business Operations - Medicine - General Internal Medicine

Division: Medicine

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Location: Houston, TX

Salary Range: $47,372 - $55,731

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Summary

The Section of General Internal Medicine is seeking a Business Operations Coordinator to provide support for our Hospital Medicine Program at CHI St. Luke''s the Woodlands This role supports the daily business operations, including provider credentialing, maintaining provider schedules, and day-to-day administrative support. This position requires excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Job Duties

  • Supports the day-to-day operational support of the hospital medicine program at Baylor St. Luke''s Medical Center
  • Leads provider credentialing including BaylorMedCare credentialing, including the tracking of credentialing status, initial credentialing, and re-credentialing
  • Maintain hospitalist schedules in QGenda and work with Medical Director to ensure correct coverage at all times
  • Organizes meetings, prepares agendas, and takes meeting minutes and action items
  • Audits provider billing and compliance
  • Process supplemental payments for faculty for moonlighting and other additional assignments
  • Provides administrative support to the Medical Director
  • Provide administrative support to faculty including processing reimbursements, travel requests, and ordering of supplies
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in a related field.
  • Two years of healthcare, physician practice, or hospital administrative experience.
  • Experience with provider credentialing and physician scheduling (QGenda preferred).
  • Knowledge of billing compliance and healthcare operations.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience supporting physicians, faculty, or healthcare leadership preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and attention to detail.
