New York Institute of Technology's Jonesboro, Arkansas campus is seeking a Coordinator for Career Services. The Coordinator for Career Services plays a critical role in supporting the residency and fellowship placement process for NYITCOM-Arkansas students and alumni, with primary responsibility for the development ,management, and completion of Medical Student Performance Evaluations (MSPEs). This position collaborates closely with students, alumni, faculty, and administrative partners across campuses to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant documentation for Match and fellowship application cycles. The role alsosupports licensure documentation processes, alumni credentialing through FCVS, and participates in major Student Administration events. This position reports directly to the Senior Career Advisor.
Responsibilities:
MSPEs for Students Participating in the Match
- Collaborate annually with the New York team to update the MSPE questionnaire for the upcoming Match cycle
- Facilitate the annual MSPE questionnaire workshop with third-year students
- Meet with all third-year students to discuss their MSPE
- Write all MSPEs for the current Match application cycle
- Make any requested student edits to the MSPE
- Make any requested administration edits (from both locations) to the MSPE
- Update USMLE statuses in the MSPE
- Convert all finalized MSPEs to PDFs
- Upload both Word and PDF versions of MSPEs into the internal NYITCOM-AR drive
Federation Credentials Verification Service (FCVS)
- Update MSPEs to reflect graduation status and submit for licensure
Fellowships
- Meet with NYITCOM-AR alumni who are participating in the Fellowship Match
- Update MSPEs to reflect graduation status
- Request alumni transcripts from the Registrar
- Upload alumni MSPES and transcripts into MIDUS
- Email alumni MSPEs and transcripts to programs not utilizing MIDUS for fellowships
- Attend all large-scale Student Administration events including Match Day, White Coat, Hooding, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required. Proven 4 to 6 years' experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Prior experience in higher education, medical education, career services, or a healthcare-related setting strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex documentation processes with high levels of accuracy, including editing, formatting, and maintaining official records.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel; ability to work with databases and student information systems required.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality requirements and ability to handle sensitive student information in compliance with FERPA and institutional policies.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail, especially in deadline-driven environments with cyclical workflows (e.g., residency match timelines)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft, edit, and refine professional documents.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with students, faculty, administrators, and alumni.
- Demonstrated commitment to student support, professionalism, and high-quality service delivery.
