Title Copy Writer - Sr

As a member of the Enterprise Brand Design Systems team, this writer will support the Performance Lane in the continual improvement and growth of our established brand standards systems. This is not a traditional marketing copywriter role. While it requires the ability to understand and execute marketing copy, this writer acts more like a content designer, working with art directors to build out the experience of Enterprise Brand Design System, then writing the guidelines within it. A day could look like:
Researching and auditing existing systems, then formalizing recommendations and pitching opportunities to leadership
Outlining and wireframing new standards content and experiences
Writing and editing standards guidance
Collaborating with designers to concept, wireframe and write brand design systems content
Work in design programs and build/edit web pages alongside designers
Creating and executing communication and/or marketing plans
Problem solving ways to improve existing systems and innovating new ways to deliver it
The ideal candidate is a writer who:
Communicates concisely but thinks big.
Is a meticulous wordsmith and can distill complex information into simple guidelines that are easy to understand and adopt.
Has experience building brand design systems and standards, as well as writing them.
Excels in writing directional guidance but can concept campaign-level marketing writing.
Has solid foundation of grammatical rules and working knowledge of AP Stylebook.
Thrives in white space and enjoys using their problem solving skills to build systems, then manage its evolution in the long term.
Always places the user first and crafts content that helps people navigate and understand complex information or systems, particularly in digital experiences.
Thinks visually and can help build new design systems/standards experiences alongside designers, creative directors and UX professionals.
Is a big thinker and collaborator.
Receives and manages inputs and feedback from a variety of stakeholders.
Approaches assignments from a customer-centric perspective while also understanding higher-level business and marketing objectives.
Possesses a positive attitude and readily partners with all types of people.
Has a deep understanding of design principles and can write about them fluently.
Has hands-on experience building and editing within a CMS, as well as editing and managing Figma files.
