Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative (Phlebotomist) serves as the face of the company to patients, delivering high-quality specimen collection and ensuring a positive patient experience. This role involves drawing blood samples, preparing specimens for testing, and maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and confidentiality standards.
The position requires strong phlebotomy expertise, the ability to work independently, and flexibility to support multiple locations and varying schedules based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Draw quality blood samples from patients using proper phlebotomy techniques
Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing
Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper specimen labeling
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Provide excellent patient care while explaining procedures clearly
Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment
Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection
Adhere to company policies, safety standards, and compliance procedures
Travel between locations as needed to support staffing requirements
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2–3 years of phlebotomy experience
Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce error-free work
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to handle high-volume work environments
Nice-to-Have Experience:
Previous experience in hospital or patient service center settings
Experience with multi-site coverage and mobile phlebotomy
Familiarity with laboratory information systems
