Corporate AccountantKurv Industrial ("Kurv") is a privately-owned, vertically integrated real estate operating company and investment manager that focuses on the acquisition and development of Class A industrial real estate in the supply-constrained core industrial markets of Chicago, Dallas, Miami, New Jersey/New York, Los Angeles/San Francisco, and Seattle.Based out of Kurv's Corporate office in Chicago, the Corporate Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day corporate accounting operations, including financial reporting, month-end close, and maintenance of accounting systems. This role works closely with the Corporate Accounting Manager and broader accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of corporate financial results.The Corporate Accountant plays a key role in preparing workpapers, managing data in Yardi, supporting treasury and reimbursement processes, and assisting with process improvements across the accounting function.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain corporate accounting workpapers and supporting schedulesAssist in the preparation of internal actual and forecast reporting packages, KPIs, and ad hoc reporting for managementSupport the month-end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparationAssist in calculating and tracking development, construction, property, and asset management feesProcess and review corporate reimbursements and expense allocationsSupport cash management and treasury activities, including coordination with banking partners as neededMaintain and utilize Yardi to support corporate accounting, reporting, and cross-functional needsAssist in identifying and implementing process improvements within corporate accounting workflowsPartner cross-functionally with other departments to gather information, meet reporting deadlines, and ensure data accuracySupport external accounting firms and auditors with requested documentation and reportingParticipate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or a related business fieldTwo to five years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate or investment managementProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with Yardi or similar accounting/ERP systems preferredStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial reportingHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailPersonal AttributesSelf-motivated, proactive, and accountable professionalCoachable, receptive to feedback, and eager to grow in responsibility and expertiseStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholdersCollaborative, team-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skillsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrates integrity, professionalism, and sound judgmentCompensation & BenefitsCompensation package commensurate with market data and individual experience, including salary and bonus potential401(k) plan, with employer matchComprehensive health, dental, and vision insuranceGenerous paid time off, including vacation, sick, and holiday leaveSignificant opportunity for upward mobility in a growing organizationOther DetailsWillingness to work >40-hour work weekUpbeat and collaborative company cultureWe do not offer remote work options, but provide flexibility#J-18808-Ljbffr
