SalaryUp to $90,000 per year, plus bonus (depending on experience)Position Summary & ObjectiveWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and coordination of corporate tax obligations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting, financial reporting, and U.S. GAAP, with meaningful experience supporting corporate tax filings and strategy.We expect you to possess both excellent analytical skills and an in-depth knowledge of accounting principles to efficiently analyze financial reports and have the ability to take ownership of tasks assigned.Essential Functions Performed by the PositionPrepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and timelyConduct thorough tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulationsAssist with the monthly filing of sales and use tax returnsAssist with the annual filings for personal propertyAssist in the preparation of financial statements and reports related to tax mattersCollaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for tax filing, audits, and third-party stakeholdersRespond to tax inquiries and notices from tax authoritiesMaintain accurate and organized tax records and documentationSolid ASC 740 experience, including tax provision preparation and maintenance and reconciliation of current and deferred tax accountsExperience with ONESOURCE Tax Accounting System and Tax Provision software a big plusAssist in the month-end close process: journal entries, account reconciliations, etc.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detailWorking knowledge of income tax filing and tax compliance for federal, state, and local returnsAbility to meet a constant stream of deadlinesProven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of team membersExperience with multi-entity and international operationsRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting; Certified Public Accountant preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience in tax accounting or tax analysisStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulationsExperience in a manufacturing environment a plusProficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office SuiteASC606 Revenue recognition / Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting experience a plusExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
