ResourceTek is the Human Capital division of Barge Design Solutions, a multi-discipline Engineering and Architecture firm. We specialize in providing technical recruitment and staffing services to industry and government in all areas of Engineering, Information Technology, and a broad range of other Technical disciplines.
In partnership with our client, a global leader in metals manufacturing, we are seeking an experienced Corporate Leave Management Administrator to lead enterprise-wide leave programs and policies. This role manages one direct report and partners with internal teams and external vendors to support access to appropriate leave benefits, maintain compliance, improve efficiency, and deliver a positive employee experience. This is a direct hire role with our client located near Reading, PA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead enterprise-wide leave administration, including timely and accurate case management, and provide guidance on complex leave scenarios.
- Supervise and develop one direct report through coaching, clear performance expectations, and accountability for department results.
- Assess leave processes, compliance risks, vendor performance, and technology use; recommend and implement improvements to programs, policies, and workflows.
- Partner with Operations, Human Resources, Payroll, HRIS, Health Services, Legal, and external vendors to coordinate leave administration and resolve issues.
- Analyze leave trends and recurring absence patterns to help Operations plan staffing, production, and coverage needs.
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor service quality, case accuracy, timeliness, and the employee experience.
- Educate managers and employees on leave policies, processes, and available benefits.
- Support APTO-related operations and identify opportunities for automation and more efficient use of technology.
- Handle sensitive employee and medical information with appropriate confidentiality.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least four years of leave administration or related human resources experience.
- Strong working knowledge of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), and federal, state, and local leave requirements.
- Understanding of confidentiality requirements, HIPAA and protected health information considerations, and complex leave scenarios.
- Strong people leadership, coaching, performance management, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
- Skills in vendor management, leave data analysis, policy design, process improvement, and stakeholder education.
- Initiative and accountability, with a commitment to improving leave programs, technology use, and the employee experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Prior experience as a leave manager or senior leave administrator.
- Experience supporting a 24/7 manufacturing environment; experience in healthcare or another complex, round-the-clock operating environment is also valued.
- Experience with Workday; familiarity with Kronos or other timekeeping systems.
