Position Overview: This key leadership role is responsible for spearheading initiatives to develop top-tier process control and quality mindset throughout the company. It involves providing technical guidance across all production divisions and ensuring the seamless integration of customer specifications from diverse sectors such as Nuclear, Military, and Aerospace into our manufacturing culture.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with senior quality leaders to cultivate a world-class quality culture and spearhead ongoing improvement efforts through robust problem-solving and process management.
- Strengthen and expand the Corrective Action Request (CAR) system by engaging teams and fostering consensus for quality enhancement strategies.
- Actively drive the quality ethos across the organization, coordinating training and development to instill high standards at every operational level.
- Propel the organization toward its quality goals using data-driven analysis and lead substantial quality problem-solving sessions.
- Foster constructive relationships with team members to achieve peak performance and ensure consistent communication with sales and production heads.
- Ensure essential technical resources are aligned to reinforce quality enhancement programs, including involvement in internal and supplier quality audits.
Essential Process Responsibility:
- Oversee the deployment and upkeep of internal quality systems like Non-conformance and Corrective Action Systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Direct operations toward consistent quality applications during non-conformance investigations and problem resolution, participating actively in FMEA and control planning for major projects.
- Engage in APQP processes to leverage new and existing measurement systems during product launches.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate crucial part features, suggesting design modifications if needed to optimize production costs.
- Lead data analysis initiatives using advanced statistical methodologies to drive continuous shop floor improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field; ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred.
- Over 7 years of leadership experience in quality management, with a notable record in shop floor enhancement projects.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification with substantial project execution; qualified as Lead Auditor for quality systems such as ISO 9001 or AS9100.
- Advantageous skills: Strategic and hands-on problem-solving capabilities, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Minitab.
