As we continue to grow across multiple markets, we're looking for a Construction Recruiter to help us bring in the skilled tradespeople who make our work possible.About the RoleThe Construction Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring craft and field personnel across our active markets. Reporting to and working closely with the Recruiting Manager, this is a high-volume, fast-paced role focused primarily on field positions, with occasional support on project management and office roles as needs arise. You'll also partner with operations and field leadership to understand crew needs and keep our projects fully staffed.What You'll DoSource and recruit field and craft candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, and direct outreachScreen applicants, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate hiring manager interviewsWork with the Recruiting Manager to forecast staffing needs and prioritize open rolesPartner with field and operations leadership to keep projects fully staffedManage candidates through the full hiring process - application, interview, offer, and onboarding handoffMaintain accurate candidate records and keep requisitions up to dateBuild and maintain a pipeline of skilled trades talent for current and upcoming projectsRepresent UCS professionally to candidates and help deliver a strong first impression of the companyAssist with recruiting for project management and support positions as neededWhat We're Looking ForMinimum 2 year of recruiting experience; construction or skilled trades recruiting strongly preferredComfortable with high-volume, high-urgency hiringStrong communication and relationship-building skillsOrganized and able to manage multiple open roles at onceSelf-motivated and able to work in an in-office, team-based environmentFamiliarity with applicant tracking systems and job board platformsValid driver's license and ability to travel locally on occasionWhy UCSJoining UCS means becoming part of a growing national contractor that takes pride in self-performing quality work.
