Corporate Vice President, Digital Product Owner

NYL360 is reimagining how New York Life works – investing in a multi-year transformation to modernize the client, advisor, field manager and home office employee experience, replacing fragmented systems and daily friction to improve ease of doing business. NYL360 is the unified digital ecosystem at the center of this effort - and AI is central to its next chapter, with an intelligent Assistant and Voice Avatar giving advisors a natural, conversational way to get things done.  Its ambitious, fast-moving, and highly visible at the executive level. We’re looking for a Product Owner who thrives on keeping high-stakes work running smoothly and isnt afraid to jump in wherever needed.

Why This Role Matters

Were seeking a Product Owner to own NYL360s AI Assistant and Voice Avatar capabilities - one of the programs most visible and strategic pillars - while serving as a cross-pod partner to fellow Product Owners across NYL360. Youll drive AI prototyping in partnership with Google and Obin, bridge our internal teams with Obins design and engineering group, and help upskill the broader PO community on modern AI tools. This is a chance to shape how tens of thousands of advisors talk to and interact with NYL360 - not just click through it.

What Youll Do

Own the AI Assistant & Voice Avatar
• Set the vision and roadmap for the AI Assistant / Voice Avatar - translating advisor pain points into conversational use cases.
• Run point on building out and enhancing the Avatar and mobile app functions.
• Partner with engineering, conversation design, and UX to keep the experience natural and trustworthy.

Drive AI Innovation & Prototyping
• Triage and prototype new AI concepts with Google and Obin, connecting them to existing Assistant capabilities.
• Lead early-stage prototyping across pods to identify whats ready to scale.
• Serve as the bridge between our POs, our Design team, and Obins design & engineering teams.

Support Peer POs Across NYL360
• Partner with fellow Product Owners across pods to align priorities, dependencies, and standards.
• Upskill POs on intermediate and advanced AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT.
• Represent the AI/Voice workstream in cross-pod planning to keep NYL360 cohesive.

Lead Roadmap & Backlog
• Turn NYL360 principles and field research into a prioritized roadmap and well-defined backlog.
• Tackle high-friction workflows like case tracking, service status, and meeting prep.
• Define acceptance criteria and success metrics with stakeholders.

Drive Delivery & Vendor Integration
• Lead end-to-end feature delivery with engineering, UX, and field advocates.
• Manage risks tied to legacy infrastructure and cross-platform integration.
• Partner with vendors, including Google and Obin, validating deliverables for quality and fit.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience modernizing complex workflows and simplifying high-friction digital experiences.
• Genuine interest or experience in conversational AI, voice interfaces, or intelligent assistants.
• Comfort with modern AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) and the ability to teach others.
• Strong user research instincts and experience turning field insights into product strategy.
• Preferably, Product Owner/Manager experience in digital transformation - financial services a plus.
• Collaborative mindset: comfortable navigating ambiguity, building consensus, and helping peers succeed.

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $160,000-$228,500 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
