Correctional Licensed Psychologist

We are seeking a Licensed Psychologist driven by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals within a secure, correctional/detention environment. This position plays a critical role in providing mental health services to a population that often faces unique and complex challenges. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and review of available records.

• Collaborate closely with mental health providers, medical staff, and correctional leadership to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.

• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessment and level of functioning.

• Perform regular rounds in segregation and specialized housing units to assess mental health needs and provide support.

• Deliver crisis intervention, counseling, and preventative care to individuals experiencing psychological distress.

• Consult with multidisciplinary staff, including healthcare, education, chaplaincy, and security teams to address behavioral concerns and promote mental well-being.

• Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to professional standards of care.

Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, unrestricted state license to practice psychology

• Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a Licensed Psychologist

• One year in a comparable setting (correctional, behavioral health, forensic, or related environments preferred).
