This is responsible law enforcement correctional work involving the custody and rehabilitation of inmates. This is an hourly, conditional classification with no benefits and is based on the amount of work available. Employees are separated if they have not worked within one year. No written examination is required. No employment register is maintained. Applicants meeting the qualifications below must apply directly to the Department of Corrections.
