Cosmetologist

The Cosmetologist provides professional salon and hair care services while delivering an exceptional spa experience for guests and clients. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and guest service. The ideal candidate maintains knowledge of current styles and trends, delivers high-quality services, and supports the overall success of the spa through guest education and retail recommendations.

 Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide professional hair care and salon services in accordance with spa protocols and industry standards
• Arrive prepared and on time for scheduled appointments and perform services within established treatment times
• Maintain knowledge of salon services, products, and wellness offerings to effectively recommend treatments and retail products
• Promote home care programs and support retail sales initiatives
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of workstations, tools, and equipment in accordance with spa policies and state regulations
• Properly use and care for equipment and products to support operational efficiency and cost controls
• Prepare, clean, and restock treatment and salon areas as needed
• Communicate operational, guest, or staff concerns to management promptly and professionally
• Support spa promotions, special events, and departmental initiatives as needed
• Collaborate with spa team members to support overall guest satisfaction and departmental success
• Maintain flexibility with scheduling based on business demands
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Current Idaho Cosmetology license required
• Knowledge of current hair care techniques, styles, color services, and salon trends
• Understanding of hair, scalp, and color treatments, with willingness to learn spa-specific services and protocols
• Previous customer service or salon/spa experience preferred
• Strong guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Professional, positive, and team-oriented approach
• Ability to recommend products and services based on guest needs
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to sanitation and safety standards
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking up and down stairs routinely, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
• Can safely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
