We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating customer-supplied technical drawings and specifications to develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates. This role involves defining manufacturing processes, identifying required materials and services, and working closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all customer requirements are met.
- Review customer drawings, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate cost estimates and manufacturing plans.
- Define manufacturing routings, including required work centers, operation sequence, setup times, run times, and process instructions.
- Identify material, tooling, and outside service requirements; obtain vendor quotations for materials, plating, painting, heat treating, and other subcontracted services as needed.
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, engineering, and production teams to clarify requirements and ensure complete and accurate quotations.
- Maintain organized estimating records, notes, and documentation while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Must have 5+ years of cost estimating experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must have 3+ years of machining, fabrication, or metalworking experience.
- Must have strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Must have ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
