Join Our Team as an Experienced Manufacturing Costing SpecialistTurn prints and specs into prices that win business.Every manufactured part has a cost story: material, machining, secondary operations, finishing and lead time. We need someone who can read the print, understand the process and turn it into an accurate quote. If you're good with numbers, mechanically inclined and like building strong customer relationships, this role fits you.As our Costing Specialist, you will report to the Operations Manager at Eastern Screw Company. You'll learn how our manufacturing operation works and use that knowledge to cost and quote manufactured products. You'll also be a trusted contact for our customers.What You'll DoLearn the manufacturing operation: get to know our production processes, machines and capabilities from the shop floor up. Use that knowledge to quote and cost manufactured products.Turn technical information into costs: read prints, review industry specs and research standards to build accurate, competitive quotes.Be the customer's go-to person: build lasting relationships and offer support and solutions in line with our customer service policies.Handle customer needs professionally: manage customer questions, orders and complaints with patience and care.Understand what customers need: identify and assess each customer's requirements to make sure they're satisfied.Support the office: provide general office administration support.Follow our quality system: apply your understanding of ISO 9001 to keep our work consistent and compliant.What You Bring2+ years of customer support experience with costing or quoting in manufacturingMechanical aptitude: you can read basic prints, learn industry specs and research standardsStrong math skills, including decimal conversionsThe ability to turn technical information into accurate costsSkill with Excel, the Microsoft Office Suite and computers in generalClose attention to detail: small errors in a quote can cost a lot, and you catch themStrong phone skills and a positive, professional mannerThe ability to multitask, set priorities and manage your time wellA fast learner with patience: quoting has a long learning curve, and you're committed to mastering itNice to have:A working knowledge of ISO 9001As an EOE/AA employer, our company will not discriminate in its employment practices due to an applicant's race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, and veteran or disability status.If you believe this job could be the perfect fit for you, apply today!
