Provides individual counseling and treatment/recovery plan preparation, monitoring and review
Facilitates activities of daily living, community meetings, engagement, carrying out treatment planning in milieu
Provide therapeutic interactions to foster patient's social, cognitive, and behavioral skill development
Provide psychosocial interventions to teach skills for coping with urges, craving, impulsive behavior and cognitive distortions in thinking, motivational interviewing techniques
Provide individual, group and family counseling
Provide multi-family group counseling
Plan and facilitate interactions with residents within the milieu to build social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
Assisting in supervision of activities related to establishing a treatment environment
Prepare and maintain case records
Job Requirements:
Credentials Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor
CASAC
2+ years in a beahvioral health/substance use disorder treatment program
High School Diploma or equivalent
