Coverage & Casualty Associate Attorney (3+ Years)

Hybrid | Southern California

We are seeking a talented Coverage & Casualty Associate Attorney with 3+ years of civil litigation experience to join our growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys handling sophisticated insurance coverage and casualty matters while working in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with exceptional analytical abilities, strong writing skills, and the confidence to manage cases while providing outstanding client service.

Responsibilities
Handle all phases of civil litigation from inception through resolution.
Analyze insurance coverage issues involving liability and property policies.
Draft detailed coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and declination letters.
Manage casualty litigation matters involving personal injury, premises liability, transportation, construction defect, and general liability claims.
Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and appellate briefing as needed.
Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and court appearances.
Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and experts.
Develop litigation strategy and provide practical legal advice to clients.
Collaborate with partners and litigation teams to deliver exceptional work product.

Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the California Bar.
3+ years of experience handling insurance coverage, casualty defense, civil litigation, or related matters.
Experience analyzing liability and property insurance policies preferred.
Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and advocacy skills.
Experience drafting dispositive motions and managing discovery.
Ability to independently manage a caseload while collaborating within a team.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
Arizona and/or Nevada Bar admission is a plus but not required.
