CPSP Health Educator I (Winnetka)

Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.

Must have experience working in Women's Health. Knowledge of the Comprehensive Perinatal Service Program highly preferred.

Clinical experience preferred.

JOB SUMMARY

This position will interact with prenatal and postpartum patients to facilitate access to medical and clinical services.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Meet with clients in a clinic setting to provide health education.
• Participate in educational and awareness campaigns to develop collaborative support and referrals for the clinic.
• Develop program reports, narrative activity descriptions, reviews, and other reports to evaluate and analyze program activities.
• Participate in writing proposals and generating reports for management and funding sources.
• Update and maintain patient records.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent OR a combination of education and related work experience.
• 2 to 3 years of related experience.

CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE / LANGUAGE

• CPSP Certified.
• Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• BLS/CPR certified.
• Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance.
• El Proyecto will reimburse employees for their mileage at the current rate set by the Internal Revenue Service. To receive mileage reimbursement, the employee must log their mileage and submit the mileage expense report to their Appropriate Administrator.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Walking, talking, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10 pounds; hand and wrist dexterity to utilize a computer.
