Position Reports To: Craft Talent Acquisition Manager
Position Summary
The Craft Recruiter is responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of skilled craft professionals across multiple projects and locations. This role partners closely with Operations, Project Managers, and Hiring Managers to identify hiring needs, develop recruiting strategies, source qualified candidates, and ensure a positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding. The Craft Recruiter plays a key role in maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified talent to support the company's operational needs.
Essential Functions
Manages the full-cycle recruitment process for skilled craft positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating interviews, extending offers, and facilitating onboarding.
Partners with hiring managers and operations leaders to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
Sources qualified candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, career fairs, social media, and other recruiting channels.
Maintains an active pipeline of skilled craft candidates for current and future hiring needs.
Conducts phone screens and evaluates candidates based on qualifications, experience, certifications, and project requirements.
Coordinates interviews and communicates effectively with candidates and hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
Extends verbal offers and coordinates the pre-employment process, including background checks, drug screenings, and new hire documentation.
Ensures all recruitment activities comply with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
Maintains accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
Builds and maintains relationships with trade schools, workforce development organizations, community partners, and industry associations.
Represents the company at hiring events, job fairs, and recruiting initiatives.
Tracks recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, source of hire, candidate pipeline, and offer acceptance rates.
Provides exceptional customer service to candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Two to five years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably supporting skilled craft, construction, industrial, manufacturing, or energy-related positions.
Experience recruiting high-volume hourly positions is preferred.
Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and LinkedIn Recruiter is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of full-cycle recruiting processes and employment best practices.
Understanding of skilled craft positions within the industrial, construction, or energy industries.
Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously.
Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Applicant Tracking Systems.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and navigate Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and other recruiting technologies.
· Ability to effectively use virtual meeting platforms, email, and other communication tools to support the recruiting process
Work Conditions/Physical Demands
Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
Occasional travel to jobsites, hiring events, career fairs, and company locations as needed.
No adverse environmental conditions expected, although occasional visits to industrial or construction sites may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
